Designed for those new to brownfields redevelopment, this ½ day workshop will provide you with a basic understanding of the elements involved in working with environmentally challenged properties. Topics will include:


- The Federal and State Regulatory Framework

- Environmental Assessment and Contamination Cleanup

- Funding for Public and Public/Private Projects


The course faculty includes practitioners with decades of experience and hundreds of successful brownfield redevelopment projects:

Presented by the Center for Creative Land Recycling (CCLR), the workshop is oriented towards redevelopment practitioners from local governments, nonprofits, and the private sector. While it is intended to prepare you to get the most out of the next day’s Re-Using Contaminated Land Conference, it can be taken on a stand-alone basis.
